PKF Asia Pacific Gathering 2025
Our friends and colleagues from across the Asia Pacific region and beyond reunited in Taipei, Taiwan from 23 to 25 July 2025 for our annual Asia Pacific Gathering. It was a wonderful opportunity for collaboration, meaningful discussions and knowledge-sharing between members of our global community.
Event highlights
One of the highlights was a dynamic session entitled ‘Client Experience: Measure, Act Thrive’, led by PKF Australia COO Lana Weldon, PKF-CAP Managing Partner Eng Kian Lee, PKF Perth partner Anthony Russo Battagliolo, PKF Aliz Pacific Managing Partner Nur Ali and our very own Head of Assurance, Jamie Drummond. Delegates gained practical tips on measuring and elevating the client experience, and discovered how harnessing technology can enhance service delivery.
Another popular session explored strategies for attracting and retaining top talent in today’s competitive landscape. Leaders from PKF Australia, PKF Withers Tsang, PKF-CAP and PKF Brunei discussed approaches to addressing the profession's recruitment and retention challenges and the importance of building a compelling employer brand that resonates across cultures and generations.
Standout session ‘Powerful Partnerships: Developing AsPac Together’ focused on our AsPac Board’s strategic plans, centred around cross-border collaboration, growth and M&A, and people and culture. Facilitated by PKF Tauranga director Russ Browne and AsPac and PKF Australia Chair Steve Meyn, this highly interactive workshop saw delegates work together in breakout groups to share ideas, raise challenges and suggest ways the Board can support progress in these areas. Delegates left with actionable ideas to unlock growth and expand their firms’ global reach within our network.
Be the change
At PKF, our members are committed to bringing about positive change to our people and communities. We’re proud to be supporting Lushomo Home in Zambia at our global events this year, an organisation which cares for abused girls. We raised $3,400 at our Asia Pacific Gathering, which will contribute towards the installation of a solar system to help provide clean drinking water at the home. Thank you to our members for your commitment to this cause and helping us make a difference.
Thank you
Thank you to all our members, colleagues, speakers and event partners (Caseware and Datasnipper) who made our 2025 Asia Pacific Gathering so successful. Special thanks to Kimberly Wang, Jamie Ho and everyone at PKF Taiwan for their support in organising this event and welcoming us so warmly to Taipei.
Event feedback
Reflecting on the event, PKF Thailand’s Khun Vic Jun Ruado said, ‘I leave with a clearer understanding of PKF’s strategic direction, a stronger sense of how I can contribute locally and globally, new connections and friendships across the PKF network and a renewed sense of pride in being part of PKF Global.’
PKF Taiwan partner Jamie Ho said, ‘We were delighted to host an incredible reunion for our PKF family right here in our hometown…we had a truly rewarding experience bringing everyone together. It was an inspiring opportunity to reconnect, exchange insights and stay at the forefront of our industry. We look forward to the next gathering and to continuing this momentum together.’
AsPac and PKF Australia Chair Steve Meyn said, ‘A fantastic time in Taipei for our PKF AsPac Regional Gathering – a week of collaboration, innovation, learning and development, and as we always do at PKF events, simply having some fun with member firms from the region. Thanks to the PKF Global team and to Frank, Ronnie, Jamie, Kimberly and the PKF Taiwan team for hosting and supporting the event in such a wonderful city.’
PKF Global CEO Theo Vermaak said, ‘Reflecting on our time together in Taipei, I was once again struck by the commitment of our members from Asia Pacific and beyond to the PKF Global community and to each other. Their willingness to share their experience and knowledge is inspirational. Our profession faces many challenges, but also unprecedented opportunity. By working together, we are well positioned to face the challenges and make the most of these opportunities. Thanks to all who contributed to make this event such a success!’
