PKF Texas directors appointed to lead women in business networks
We are delighted to announce that two directors from our member firm PKF Texas have been appointed to external leadership roles in the Greater Houston region. Both of these roles involve championing women in business within the local community.
Sonia Freeman, Chief Culture Officer and audit director at PKF Texas, will be Chair for the Greater Houston Partnership’s Executive Women’s Partnership (EWP). The EWP is Houston’s premier networking group for female executives. Open to member companies with revenue in excess of $100m, this programme offers members invitations to several exclusive gatherings throughout the year. As Chair for the EWP, Sonia will lead initiatives to unite female executives to network and support each other.
Nikki Homratsamy, a tax director at PKF Texas, will be Vice Chair for the Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce (GHWCC). The GHWCC is a not-for-profit business organisation of highly influential and diverse individuals dedicated to the advancement and empowerment of women through leadership, education, advocacy and mentoring. As Vice Chair for the GHWCC, Nikki will serve as the Board liaison for three of GHWCC’s committees: Ambassadors, Women’s Health Network of the Texas Medical Center and Thought Leaders Institute. She will support, promote and enhance each committee’s vision.
Byron Hebert, Chief Growth Officer at PKF Texas, said, “It is an honour to work alongside strong leading women at PKF Texas. Our firm encourages PKF Texans to get involved in the community to give back, network and build strong relationships. Sonia and Nikki are great examples…to learn from.”
