Celebrating individual brilliance

We’re delighted that our professionals’ exceptional qualities have been recognised, with individuals across the world receiving industry awards and being appointed to prestigious external roles.

PKF O’Connor Davies’ partner Joseph Ali was recently named a 40 Under 40 Rising Star for 2024 by The Business Council of Westchester. Rising stars are selected for their contribution to making the county a vibrant and flourishing business community, recognising individual business achievements and leadership skills. What’s more, fellow team member Joseph Maugeri is included on Long Island Business News’ Emerging Leaders Under 30 list, in view of his significant professional accomplishments and commitment to the local business community.

Karen A. Lake, Director of Tax Services at Berkowitz Pollack Brant, our member firm based in Florida, has been selected as chair-elect of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA) Board of Directors. In this role, Karen will provide strategic direction to the FICPA, overseeing its activities and upholding professional standards.

PKF Perth’s Luke Daff received the Young Accountant of the Year Award in the 2024 Australian Accounting Awards, presented by industry news platform AccountantsDaily. This fantastic achievement reflects his unwavering dedication and hard work.

Joanne Clothier and Glen Martyn, team members at New Zealand member firm PKF Hamilton, have been awarded fellowships through Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand. Fellowships are reserved for those who have reached the pinnacle of the accounting profession and recognise outstanding career achievements. With over 35 years of service, Joanne has shown incredible commitment and has mentored more than 50 chartered accountants. Glen has devoted 20-plus years to the profession, with a focus on driving the development of IT and sustainable business processes.

PKF Portugal partner Roberto Figueira has been honoured as an advisory member of the Order of Economists, the Portuguese professional association of public law. This highly acclaimed award recognises his talent and experience as well as his ongoing commitment to excellence and professional ethics.

Sarah Carbis, a manager at PKF Francis Clark, our member firm based in the south-west of England, has been named by Cornwall Chamber of Commerce as one of their 30 Under 30. The awards celebrate the region’s brightest young business talent. Sarah stood out amongst the other nominees for her contribution to developing and mentoring her team members.

Andrea Lazzaretti, partner at one of our Italian member firms RASS – Studio Legale Rinaldi e Associati, has been appointed to serve on the International Chamber of Commerce’s Commission on Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). Through this new role, Andrea will help shape global arbitration and ADR practices within international business.
